Struggling to Connect Play with Literacy Learning?

The pressures on Early Childhood Educators are stronger than ever.

But the answer is waiting for you.

Join a motivated group of educators ready to embrace new ideas, unlearn outdated practices, and support ALL children in their literacy development—through play.

That's me!

Is This Program For You?

💟 Are you a preschool or early childhood educator who wants to incorporate literacy into play but feels unsure how to balance child-led play with intentional teaching?

💟  Do you notice some children are ready for explicit literacy instruction but lack confidence in when and how to introduce it effectively?

💟  Are you passionate about emergent curriculum but overwhelmed by frameworks like the Science of Reading and need actionable, developmentally responsive strategies?

💟 Do you care for multi-age children and want strategies to meet their unique literacy needs while honoring their play?

I know you are trying to balance it all.

I see you navigating the challenges of running a play-based program in a world that often prioritizes worksheets and testing over the joy of learning through play.

I see you:

✔︎ Supporting children’s curiosity and play while meeting literacy standards.

✔︎ Justifying the value of play to families, caregivers, and administrators who don’t always understand.

✔︎ Wondering if you’re doing enough as your students transition to public school settings.

✔︎ Searching for resources, piecing together strategies, and trying to figure out how to marry play-based learning with early literacy.

I see you… BECAUSE I WAS YOU.

You believe in the power of play. You know there’s a better way.

But doing it all on your own? It’s exhausting.

I've got the answer

You can teach children literacy skills while still honoring their play.

You can build a literacy-rich environment that aligns with both the Science of Reading and child-led learning.

You can feel confident, supported, and inspired—knowing you’re doing enough.

Through the Play-Led Literacy Program, you’ll discover how to:

★ Support early literacy development in a way that’s authentic, playful, and child-led.

★ Advocate for the value of play with parents, administrators, and your community.

★ Meet literacy standards without sacrificing joy or creativity.

I see you. I’ve been there. Let’s do this together.

Are you ready to bridge the gap and build strong literacy foundations through play?

You don’t have to do it alone anymore.

I want in!

This unique six week group program will take you from wondering if you’re doing enough to confidently knowing you are.

What others are saying about working with Laura.

"Laura's training workshop was invaluable to our staff and team. Trying to marry play-based learning in nature with early literacy is sometimes difficult, but she really proved how easy it can be. I loved her focus on how literacy is SO much more than letters and letters sounds. I'd have her come every year if I could!"

"I enjoyed listening to you speak about something you're passionate about! It was good to have a refresh on all things literacy. It helped me to feel rejuvenated in my practice in the classroom. I’m excited to offer these new ideas to the children in my care."

Are you ready?

I will remind you that literacy isn’t confined to the pages of a book or the drills of a worksheet. I will show you how literacy is woven into the fabric of children’s play.
